Great reward I give to My children, those who overcome the storm, damaged but restored, strengthened in weakness. My hand holds all. Great beyond measure is the bounty of the righteous. It is not sinful to desire what I wish to give, for in reward comes steadfastness, in payment comes striving. Do not hear of those who reduce the reward to nothing, or the desire as greed. I reward the persistent, and give blessing to the overcomer, for this is a reflection of the Father’s love, and of the Son. Do not give up in affliction, or lay down with the weight. Call on your God for strength, for many of the weak will win the prize, for My Spirit will carry them in their struggle. Run hard for the finish. Stand up for the burden. It will not swallow you. Sin will wound and make weak, but the prayers of the righteous are answered in strength. Come as you are, and among defeat you shall have victory, for it is not to win, but to remain steadfast in faith, in this – the prize.
Revelation 3:21 (ESV) – The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
Bottom Line: Sometimes you just want to throw in the towel. In a challenging business, thankless career, troubled marriage, often we are tempted to call it quits. This is not God’s way. God is pleased when we persevere through trials, particularly trials of faith. We may know He wants us to bear the storm with Him, and not tire and give up, but it just doesn’t seem to be worth it. In these hard times, reflect on the bible verses which talk about rewards. These promises can make the difference between quitting, or digging in and persevering. If you are in a place where He is calling you to hang in there, call on His strength and lean in. Great reward is awaiting you for doing so.
