Walk in faith. Do not separate your direction and stride from your profession of faith in Me. Each day passes without replacement. The days are numbered for both the good and the perverse. Each day is to be lived in the Way of God, not disguised from it. The weight of the cross is that of living truthfully. He who puts down his faith, so that his walk in the world would be easier, is not he with true faith. For he who lives out in the world what he professes to his brother, it is he who truly lives, and his faith is also true. Do not forget your face, for whom you claim to be in the assembly, be also in the wayward place. Do not shine My light only in the light, but bring it to those in darkness. Often it is hidden for fear of those angered by the light; do not deny Me in their company. Speak in the world as you speak in the Kingdom. Exclaim your faith in the world as also in the Kingdom. Walk in the world as you walk in the Kingdom. There is to be no separation of the Godly, no distinction from place to place. Do not be ashamed.

James 1:23-26 (ESV) – For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless.

Bottom Line: The workplace can be a difficult place to truly show your faith. At church it is far easier; people at church “bless” one another, talk freely about their faith and spiritual journey. Sin and temptation are discussed, and the best behaviors of patience and forgiveness are put forth from sincere hearts. In the workplace we can be much more discrete, where even our behavior and language can degrade to hide our faith completely. This should not be so; we should be the same person at work, with our friends, and in traffic as we claim to be at church. It is an important aspect of true faith, that we live consistently what we believe, whereever we are.
