Today you hear My voice. Listen to My Word that you would know your way. The way of the deaf is fearful, and they who are blind easily lose their way. But woe to those both deaf and blind. How can they arrive safely; who can help them? Obstinance brings deafness, and busyness brings blindness. In the heart of the prideful there is no need for direction. Mind alone is sufficient, even more, and those who chase all things, mesmerized by flashing beauty and seducing wealth, these are the blind of this generation. These arrive in a place unexpected, for the drifting of the unaware is swift, and in vast company they drift to destruction unnoticed. Today you are not deaf; you hear My words of truth. You catch sight of the land, and see there is grave movement of the masses in which you float along. It looks as if the land were moving, but be assured, it is the great drift, for I AM the same yesterday, today and forever. Hear my voice; call to Me; keep open your eyes. Swim past the perishing to the land of My promise, for it is soon to be behind, and the fate foretold of all mute to My voice ahead.

Isaiah 55:6-7 (ESV) – “Seek the Lord while he may be found;
    call upon him while he is near;
 let the wicked forsake his way,
    and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
    and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

John 10:27 (ESV) – My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

Bottom Line:  Our herd instinct tells us that there is safety in numbers. If we are living pretty much like everyone else, we have a false sense of security. The Holy Spirit reminds us that God calls us individually to the truth, and the masses, well, they don’t have it. Millions float along ignoring the call of God, blind to His guidance, and deaf to His Spirit. Sadly, we work and interact with such people every day. We are called to be their light, but often we forget and find ourselves moving along with them.
