Listening to the Holy Spirit:

Where the end is, no man can see. The depth of his labor is beyond the time spent, for the time of labor reproduces again among those it serves. Each hour serves greater than its hour. Future blessing is fed through the faithful time allotted in its past. Do not feel as though your service is of little value. Striving in righteousness always bears fruit. There is no failure of your hand or heart. With your deep effort, done faithfully and without sin, there is joy in My Kingdom. Years may seem lost with little to reap for the great and difficult planting, but there shall be reaping. All your work, if given to Me, produces its yield. There is no loss, no failure. My children are a gift to the world, and the work of their hands also. The effort of your hands is not forgotten, and they give as a deposit with great interest for future yield – some as a hundredfold, measured by My hand and rewarded in My wage.

Isaiah 49:4 (ESV) – But I said, “I have labored in vain; I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely my right is with the Lord, and my recompense is with my God.”

Galatians 6:9 (ESV) – And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Psalm 128:2 (ESV) – You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.

Taking It to Work:

Your hard work may seem like it is unrewarded at times. Huge investments in time and money can seem like they were just wasted, and you may regret working hard if your expectations are not met. As children of God we should all know that our God will work all of our efforts together for good, and for fruit in His Kingdom. Now follow Him to the next project and do your best. His reward is waiting, and His plans that go generations deep, include your efforts, as His Word works through you.
