Listening to the Holy Spirit:

There are many about you who know of My Name, but there are few who follow. Choose one, that I would show you together, My heart. Two are stronger than one, and a good friend is one who also follows the Way. At your place of labor, the vision and labor is shared for man, but outside your workplace it can be of My vision purely. Pray that you would see together what can be done in My Name. I have ignited the desire for service, that both will share in its weight, and more shall be done. I have given the Church, that you would not labor alone. Seek together, and what will be revealed will not be able to be done alone. Those who labor for the Kingdom in unified step, will scatter the enemy as I go before them. Your journey in service and faith is not to be alone. Join together that My Name will be magnified, and the work of the Kingdom accomplished. The bond of those is eternal, for their work will not be forgotten.

Eccl 4:9 (ESV) – Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.

Proverbs 27:17 (ESV) – Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.

Luke 10:1 (ESV) – After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go.

2 Cor 8:16 (ESV) – But thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same earnest care I have for you.

Taking It to Work:

We were all taught one plus one is two, but when it comes to God’s designs, in so many places, one plus one yields much more than two.

Take for instance your hands. What you can build with two hands working together in a half hour far exceeds what you could do with only one in an hour. The person with one leg needs much more than twice the time to catch up to the person with two. It’s called synergy, when you bring two things together, that work together toward a common goal, and they produce more together than they could separately, even if they added their individual work together.

We see it in the workplace. We see it in design of our bodies. We see it in marriage, and there is no surprise that we see it in the Kingdom of God, shown clearly today in His Word.

It’s a simple reminder, but in a very individualistic society, and after being driven apart from Covid, we need the reminder. We’re better together! Two working shoulder to shoulder, helping one another out, is still God’s best when we are doing the work of the day, the work of the Kingdom, or just the work of becoming the person God desires us to be.

If you have a tough load to bear, a goal to accomplish, a habit to break, or a work in which God is calling you. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you who might be well suited to join you on the journey. It’s hard to beat a great partnership, as His Word works through each of you, today.
