The Name above all names, Lord above all lords, King of all kings, that you would be saved from death, that you would know the hope that lies within you. My Spirit calls that you would believe, repent and live by that Name, bearing the image of the Christ, operating in His power. Why do you not seek life to the full? You have been adopted as children of My throne. Why do you hold firmly to the rubble you have gathered. No greater deeds can be done on earth than with My Spirit in the Name of Jesus. Ask in His Name and believe. The small power of the created knows not accomplishment. In the power of God comes true work and great deed. Ask, that you would walk in My power, not for selfish motive, but for My glory and the joy that awaits the righteous, that those of the earth would hear the good news, and the way of God would lift death to life. Call on his Name, that greater would be done through He who dwells within you. Great joy awaits he who yields to the will of His Father, for in His will lies the only true accomplishment of men.
John 16:23-24 (ESV) – In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
Bottom Line: God continually calls us higher – to live a life that is worthy of the Name that saved us. Career takes top priority in the world’s economy. We spend a lot of time trying to accomplish things in our own power and for our own sense of value, worth, comfort and security. Our Father God wants more for us. In God’s eyes, as C.S. Lewis once remarked, “We are far too easily pleased.” If you are a follower of Christ, ask Him if there is something more He is asking of you. Call on the power of Jesus’ Name for stepping out in faith, answering His call beyond your normal work and family life. It may be scary to do so, but great joy awaits.
