To whom will you go? I am the Alpha and the Omega. There is nothing beyond My reach. My vision sees both forward and behind, to the depth and to the vast, understanding all without the smallest exception. The cumulative knowledge of man is but a flicker to the constant centuries of the sun. So to whom do you turn? I have reached that I might save you, and bring you to the Father. You have been given the Word of life, that you might know and strive for holiness. Also given My Spirit, that you would never walk alone, that my presence dwell within. Yet you speak to Me little, and your ear strains for the council of men. Small do you perceive of My presence and power. Forgetful of what you know, although My glory shines about you. You hear Me not as you do not listen. You mistake dry words in My living Word. You miss my guidance, as your eyes are distracted. Turn back to Me. I Am to have preeminence. My first command continues to speak; much sin is birthed by this disorder. Decide first who is Lord and in the correct order. Great will be your blessing. You will see. You will hear, and you will walk in blessing as you follow.

Daniel 2:20-22 (ESV) – Daniel answered and said, “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.”

Bottom Line: We are far too independent for our own good. We forget who our Father really is. Our all-powerful, all-present, all-knowing God is continually present with us, and we still tend to follow the crowd or ourselves.  When we gave ourselves to Jesus, it was not only to be forgiven and for adoption, but to make Him Lord of all parts of our life. This includes the hundreds of decisions we make each day, some of which can be very difficult or critical. His Spirit dwells within us as a Great Counselor. Seek Him first. At work and home, big issue or small, honor Him as Lord and ask for His recommendations. There is not one thing we encounter where He does not have the perfect advice.
