Listening to the Holy Spirit:

The repentant heart gives way to grace, and grace, the repentant heart. My grace flows as a pent-up spring into the heart that opens the way. As I wait at the door, as I knock with the call of the Father, My grace waits as against a mighty dam. Forgiveness stalled, for the unholy and unrepentant hold fast in sin, ways against My own. And in this they know, in knowing, then fear, and stronger still the stall. For as a child hides from discovery, so the unrepentant hides in fear of an unknown God with unknown grace. For this is the message of My gospel, the good news of the Kingdom, and in this the sinner shall find release, and the flow of My love be manifest in power and cleansing to he that now hides from wrath. It is in this truth that the world thirsts, and so too your neighbor. The message of obedience is one to those that already know the cleansing, for the thankful heart craves obedience, but to he that hides, the message of grace. For repentance follows grace as cleansing follows the immersion. Out rises the new man, called now to follow. The sinful heart knows already its pain, for in each, I have written My way. Call those lost always with My grace, for it is sufficient both for the release and the journey. The very power they fear is that which the heart longs for, the breaking free of grace in a mighty and holy flow, releasing once again the heart.

Hebrews 4:16 ESV – Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Revelation 3:20 ESV – Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

1 Peter 5:10 ESV – And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Mark 16:15 (ESV) – And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.

Taking It to Work:

As Christians in the workforce, we are not only called to live a life pleasing to God, but also to share the good news and make disciples. To many, the sharing of the Good News sounds like the scariest part of our Christian walk.  Who wants to confront someone else with their sinfulness? Very uncomfortable, right?

The Holy Spirit reminds us today, in Scripture and in prayer, that it is not our job to confront, but only to convey the offer of grace; the same grace that was offered to ourselves in our time of need.  It is God’s job to cleanse, convict and convert the hurting heart, but that’s in God’s timing. By His command, we are to tell of the good news of His grace to all who need it.

So many with whom you work, are hiding from God behind a self-constructed, protective dam, holding back what they may perceive as the judgement of God on their lives. We, who know the truth, honor and praise for Him for His forgiveness, love, grace and mercy, but they fear Him, as they do not know Him as we do.

Pray and look for an opportunity to introduce them to the “real” God of the Bible. Especially if someone is hurting and searching for answers. When they realize, instead of condemnation and judgment, that there is a river of grace and love backed-up behind that dam, it may bring it down, and begin the great immersion that will change everything for them, as His Word works to convey grace through you, today.
