The long face of fear, the scorn of frustration, the harshness of anger, serves only the purposes of the fallen. The weapons of our warfare are not those of this world, but far more powerful for loosing strongholds, freeing captives, and defeating the enemy where he cannot stand. The earth will fade like the grass, and the things of the earth as windblown dust, for it is not for such that you shall labor. The greater call is for the eternal, a Kingdom established that will not decay, and sin shall not pollute. It is this Kingdom that moves against the darkness. The whole earth shakes for its progression, for the enemy of all knows now the time is shortened, and hides no more his face nor weapons. He cannot wait, but is neither ready. As I walked in the love of  My Father for My own, so too shall you battle. Do not repay evil for evil, nor insult for insult, for you do not know who shall soon be saved. I invite all to the table. Only to those sold to evil do I reject, the hardened heart seeking only death. To all others grace is extended, love shown, forgiveness granted, for these are of the Kingdom, and they with the power that flows unending from the Father. It is to these in which the gates of Hell will not prevail. The days are evil, but for panic for the advancing Kingdom. Dress not in death’s attire, for the scowl of the defeated is for those who are defeated. Raise your countenance to those of the Holy Kingdom in which you are called. Prevail in My love, in strength and joy of the Hosts of Heaven, through My Spirit and unending reign, under which all things will come to order. Do not let your heart be downcast. The dawn approaches the darkness, and darkness shall not stand.

John 12:31-32 (ESV) – “Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out.  And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

Matthew 16:18 (ESV) – And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4(ESV) – For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.

Psalm 42:5 (CSB) – Why, my soul, are you so dejected? Why are you in such turmoil? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise him, my Savior and my God.

Bottom Line:  When you look around or read the news headlines, it may seem that we are losing to the enemy. It is tempting to return blow for blow, insult for insult, but we are reminded that our weapons for waging war are different and much more effective for the Kingdom. Hatred, harshness and anger are for the losing side. Love, joy and the Gospel, forgiveness, kindness and His Word, although maybe unnatural in these times, is still the arsenal of the Christian. We may find ourselves walking around downcast and miserable with the notion that we are losing. We are not. Remember – cornered animals show their teeth, growl and bite when they can. The bible is clear, the Savior wins, and that is no surprise to our cornered enemy. He is panicking, firing all his guns, but the gates of hell are still falling under the salvation of Jesus Christ that began 2000 years ago, not the other way around. So, as you head to work today, lift your head up, shine the light of hope to the downcast, and rejoice as the Lord of Heaven advances!
