Give praise to your Maker in all things. Through the life I give you is where the harvest shall come. So often you mistake accomplishment as your own; how little you recognize My hand. “Luck” is the term of an idol. Today, you do not cover this idol with gold, but you give it honor when you feel it has covered you. My hand determines each day. All is firmly within My power. To ascribe anything to mere chance is calling life into something that has none. He who walks closely with My Spirit knows the work of My hand. He who seeks My face recognizes the blessings of the Father. He who bows before Me knows the power within My creation, not random, but in great order around him. Choices bearing My will are blessed, and those bearing selfish desires are not. I am patient for a time, but as you progress more correlation with My will brings a life of holy order, blessed to bless others and to draw many to My way for them. Success is marked, not in the accumulation, but in the administration of what is produced in a life focused on My will, on those whom I bring you, that My Kingdom would come to them. Seek first My way; seek first My Kingdom; seek first My people, and the success of the world will pale in light of My pleasure in you. Seek and obey My calling. Recognize when My hand moves. Give no life to luck, for it brings nothing, and takes honor from He that brings all things.

I Chron. 29:12 (ESV)  Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.

Bottom Line:  Luck is not a reality. It is just another form of replacing our sovern God with something lifeless. Like Mother Nature, or even Murphy’s Law, neither have life, and never will. In truth, our God’s hand controls even the smallest of details. Every roll of the dice, good or bad, every flip of a coin, win or lose, is in His ultimate control. True success is seeking and following God’s will in our careers, family, and everyday circumstances, and recognizing Him in the smallest of blessings, opportunities and outcomes. Let’s not give the glory to luck, rabbit’s feet, or good karma – All are counterfit. When the job goes well, the promotion comes through, or the contract is won, let’s give glory to Whom it is due.
