The love of a father knows no bounds. Hope endures through many faults. Strength given by faith in a return to the true way. The force of the wind can drive lost even those trained to sail against it. To and fro the seas will throw he who must ride out his storm, but once the sea settles there is grace, that the lost would again find their way. The weak cry for the misfortune. Lost they remain for the downcast heart has permission to remain. The enemy of souls wishes this, for the man of God cannot stand with such a heart. Thoughts of setback and defeat feed his mind. Regret and waste throw time backward to falsehood, placing blame to anchor the sinking place. Do not curl under, for My followers are given again chance and choice. Heavy the past, but it is not of going forth. The frozen mind lets not the Word of God enter, but instead grips the hurt and stealing thought. Rise up in the reprieve. The Father calls His own. Strength given to you, but not yet consumed. Shake free the chain of the enemy, for it lays on top, but has no clasp. Stand and it shall fall. Hold once again the wagging tiller, and fill the sail with My hope. Release to the sea dunnage the storm has brought. Fix your gaze again on My light and call. Your weakness has passed. Come again to Me that you may be forgiven. Regain your strength, for if the sea will rise once more, your weakness must not be in it.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 (ESV) – Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.
1 Timothy 6:12 (ESV) – Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1 John 2:1 (ESV) – My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
Acts 22:16 (ESV) – “And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.”
Bottom Line: We all go through storms, and every so often these storms are due to our own sin and disobedience. Sometimes the storms are so bad, we don’t feel like we will ever recover or be forgiven. We have thoughts of staying right there in the pit of silent depression. Today is His reminder of hope for you. You can stand up again. Jesus stands before you with his hand out to pull you up. All it takes is a heartfelt repentance and your own resolve to stand strong again, not in your strength maybe, but His. Before you start your workday today, start again with Him. Receive the forgiveness and the renewed strength He offers. Shake off the weight, throw overboard the lies, and grab the helm. The ship has not sunk; the trip is not over, and His great love for you is already filling your sails.
