The many follow and will cry out for those who lead, but they will not hear them, for they will be no more. In this day there is great knowledge and men who tout their mind, but the hearing of My Word is lost, and therefore the true wisdom granted by God to men. As sheep follow, so too men. Little thought is given to the their way, only what is to be gained along their way. They think not of the destination, but only of the fool’s treasure of their near reach. My Word is given to men that they might lift their minds to the ways of the Father, and in doing so their heads, then eyes, then feet. In following, sheep are both led astray and led aright, but in both they follow. Those who follow the words of Mine, given from the Father through the Spirit of Truth, find life everlasting. Those with the words of the world find destruction. As the day approaches the destination for many will be revealed, and they shall cower for the sight. They shall cry out, but shall not be heard. For those who follow the Lamb, they shall also cry out, but I shall hear them, and in My Word they shall find rest. For the world is not wise; it is of creation only, and cannot lead itself, but they who find My Word, find wisdom and life. They do not lose their Leader in times of trouble, and in times of want they do not shudder for fear. But woe to those who are led only by men, for these are lost themselves, and all move the same way as gravity pulls always toward the grave. You who read these words, find and hold close the Word given by the one true God, that your foot might be made right, decay made new growth, and directionless knowledge – to wisdom. I call you upward where the grave has no power, and the wisdom of your God stands forever.

Proverbs 16:16 (ESV) – How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

Luke 6:39 (ESV) – He also told them a parable: “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?

Colossians 2:8 (ESV) – See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:7 (ESV) – But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV) – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Bottom Line: There are lots of great authors and speakers out there. There are books that truly help us become better leaders, fathers, mothers, innovators, etc. Through the Holy Spirit, God left us a series of letters, songs, historical records, traditions, writings and revelations in a small divinely inspired collective we call the Bible. Many today look at that book with disdain and irreverence, as outdated and irrelevant, apparently ignorant of the centuries upon centuries, generations upon generations who have been blessed by following its divinely-given precepts. It’s ways, laws and guidance have been empirically proven invaluable for multiple billions who have put their faith in its wisdom. So effective and so powerful, it has been coined, “The Word of God” across the globe.  We are now unfortunately in an age where our education is “complete” after college, and any additional wisdom comes from TV, YouTube and outspoken politicians. Let’s reach higher. Dust off that old Bible, read a little before work each day (start with the Gospel of John), and talk to God about what you read on the drive to work. It will change your day, and eventually everything about you, as His Word works in you!
