Rejoice for your deliverance approaches. As trouble surrounds, even greater surrounds that which is brought against the saints. The enemy challenges, but it is fear in his ranks that brings on the defeat, for it is not unknown to him the destiny of those who oppose the ways of the Father. The mighty torrent is quelled, not with an equal force within a great struggle, but of a single whisper of the will of the Father. There is attack, but there is no threat. There will be great suffering, but only for a shortened time. Fear not the puffing, for the substance is of air, and his only strength is what has been permitted. The great will of God walks through time unhindered. No evil stands, but only as a blade of grass beneath My feet. The head of the serpent is crushed and is crushing, and it is without effort. Do not let your heart be downcast, for what you now witness is soon to be a distant past, a short flicker of shadow across a great and eternal light. Do not be dismayed. The battle is won, and the loss is of dust to what awaits those who call My Name and abide in My ways. The enemy rises only to fulfill the will of He who allows his rising. He shall be driven down again, under the ease of My heel.

Genesis 3:14-16 (NIV) – So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Matthew 24:21-22 (CSB) – For at that time there will be great distress, the kind that hasn’t taken place from the beginning of the world until now and never will again. Unless those days were cut short, no one would be saved. But those days will be cut short because of the elect.

2 Chronicles 20:15-17 (ESV) – And he said, “Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s. Tomorrow go down against them. Behold, they will come up by the ascent of Ziz. You will find them at the end of the valley, east of the wilderness of Jeruel. You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.”

John 16:33 (ESV) – “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Bottom Line: We hear it and we say it, “God is in control,” and He is.  Yet, many in the Kingdom of light lose the perspective of how powerless the kingdom of darkness is. We have mental images of Satan and Jesus going toe-to-toe in a close-call spiritual battle. His Word and Spirit remind us that, not only does, “The battle belong to the Lord”, but the enemy’s efforts are barely a child’s skirmish compared to the power of our God. Just as the suffering and ill-treated Jesus could have leveled the entire Roman garrison with a mere thought, but chose not to for the higher calling and plan for His life, so too He could easily eliminate all the present evil.  It is all in His plan, and although there is not a Christian alive who thinks what is going on is good, not one instant of it is out of God’s control. Evil is not winning. As you head into work this morning, spread the word to those in fear. This is not an epic spiritual battle to fret over, it is a “no-contest” to God, and we and the Kingdom of His Light are the winners!
