Without My Spirit, My creation is incomplete. Man alone wanders from pleasure to pleasure, avoiding pain, seeking power. This is the fallen state which is common ill of all mankind. Unredeemed of soul, their labors mount only a small pile left behind in time. Their memories cease also in time. The life of the true follower has been given much more, partial again on earth, but in eternity complete. The treasures of earth pale as shadows to the riches untold of My Father’s Kingdom. The New Jerusalem brings what cannot be corrupted, as in this age. The work of the child of God is that of this age, but also of the next. They work for today, and in wisdom, for the great tomorrows in My presence. The tree ceases not its growth in winter, as it appears to death, its roots grow deeper unseen that it would support the many coming branches full of summer’s growth, anticipating greater fruit than the last. So too, My Spirit calls the called. As the winter of man approaches, do not labor only for a small pile that pleases only slightly, but for the coming age where true joy abounds and creation is made whole.

1 Corinthians 2:9 (ESV) – But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”

Bottom Line:  If you are a redeemed follower of Jesus, you understand that you are passing through the land of the dying in preparation of entering into the land of the living. None of us are here for very long. Our coming destination is more wonderful than we can imagine. This thought should always be in our mind and hearts. We have to “make a living” while we are here, but the Holy Spirit is constantly reminding us how to live (while we’re making our living) so that our eternity would have great reward. Grow those unseen roots – the endless summer of the redeemed is coming!
