She approached. As the base of My garment was touched, her deep request was heard by the Father. Deep faith creates desire for Godly holiness. Those who boast of faith, but have no hunger, they do not possess as they profess. As the Father calls each to repentance, He also calls that they would draw near, that they would reach for the garment of blessing, that their life would be filled. Ask that you might have. Approach the throne of grace that you may receive in full. Do not hide in the shadows of your desire to be close to Me. With repentance, ask that I might forgive, My blood already shed for those who seek My forgiveness. I give to you new life, that you would turn and follow, that you would reach always for the hem of My cloak, that the power of the Most High would fill where you have been empty where My bleeding stills your own. In this new strength, the work of your life is then possible. Reach out, that you might touch with faith.

Luke 3:43,44,48 (ESV) – And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be healed by anyone. She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately her discharge of blood ceased…And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.”

Bottom Line: Life can wear the best of us out. Stress, anxiety, deadlines, travel, customers, complaints – they are all part of living life. But if done in our own strength, it can be more of a survival trip, instead of a thriving life of joy and peace. Even if the money is rolling in, and all seems OK from the outside, the fact that God is missing can make a life of luxury a constant bleed on our soul.  Jesus wants you to reach for Him, to act on the hunger that is calling deep in your heart. Reach for Him with all your heart, and you will know a whole new level of living. You will find that His strength is far superior to your own.
