My light through you is placed. They (those around you) too are placed. Your interaction with them is eternal. The labor of the day is your vehicle, a platform that My light might shine through you. In speech you pour forth blessing and curse – in action, the same. Choose to be aware, that you shall change their way, their path altered by My hand through yours. The work will be long forgotten, no vestige remembered, but your actions and speech incur eternal remembrance, and curb the path of destruction afforded them without your gentle hand. See this more evident. Focus on this, as well the task, and great work will truly be of this day. Remember, you are placed and given charge that you may choose the greater work as you labor.

John 13:34-35 (ESV) – A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

Bottom Line: Our work can consume us, whether it be out of our own doing, deadlines or other expectations. As Christians in the workforce, we should remember that we are doing a greater job at the same time. By our actions and words we can either strengthen or weaken others. Be aware and don’t miss the opportunities to bless those who cross your path. It could greatly change their lives and will be the greater work remembered eternally. Be aware, and let His Word work through you.
